What I built
Configured a production-ready VAPI transfer_call_tool enabling seamless human handoff mid-call. The AI voice agent detects when a caller requests to speak to a human (by name or general request), triggers the transfer tool, and routes to the designated phone number in E.164 format. Built with a clear tool description so the AI knows exactly when to invoke the transfer. Deployed across multiple client AI agents ensuring customers can always escalate — a critical trust-building feature for AI caller deployments.
